use.live (Motion): paid calls, live houses and gifts

Last updated: October 7, 2026

These are the rules for everyone on use.live. They are part of our Terms of Service. They apply to everything you say, show or post here: your name, photo and host profile, what you say and show on stage or on camera, chat lines, pins, gift messages, links, and clips you make of a house.

1. Keeping young people safe

People aged 13 to 17 use use.live. We have zero tolerance for anything that puts them at risk. You must never:

  • show, share, ask for or talk about sexual content involving anyone under 18, real or not;
  • flirt with, sexualise or try to start a romantic relationship with anyone who is or appears to be under 18;
  • ask a young user for photos, video, their phone number, address, school, social media or to talk somewhere else, or arrange to meet them;
  • ask a young user for money, gifts or favours, or offer them money, gifts or status for anything;
  • encourage a young user to do anything dangerous, illegal or that they would not want their parent or guardian to know about.

We close accounts that break these rules at once, keep the evidence and report them to the police and other authorities.

If you are under 18: keep your contact details, school and location to yourself, never move a conversation off use.live, and tell a parent, guardian or [email protected] if anyone makes you uncomfortable.

2. No sexual content

use.live is not for sexual content of any kind. Do not:

  • show nudity, sexual acts or sexual touching on camera, or dress or move on camera in a way meant to be sexual;
  • say or post sexual talk, sexual requests or sexual images;
  • use sexual words or emoji with a sexual meaning in your name, host profile or messages, including hidden or misspelled versions;
  • offer, advertise or ask for sexual services or adult content, including links to adult sites or subscription pages.

Our systems refuse names that use words on our blocked list, and we warn people whose names or photos break this rule. We remove sexual photos, and uploading another can restrict your account. On camera, a warning can be followed by losing video or your account.

3. Respect for others

  • No bullying, harassment, threats, stalking, humiliating people or piling on someone.
  • No hate speech or attacks on people for their ethnicity, tribe, religion, nationality, sex, gender, disability, health or any similar trait.
  • No content that shows or encourages violence, cruelty to animals, self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or terrorism.
  • Hosts may set reasonable rules for their house, and you should follow them. The same goes for moderators the host picks. Moderators must use their controls fairly and only to keep the house within these rules.

4. Privacy

  • Do not share anyone's personal information without their consent, including phone numbers, addresses, ID or bank details, private photos or messages.
  • Do not record, screenshot or stream a house or call, or anyone in it, except with the clip feature or with the consent of the people shown.
  • Do not show people on camera who have not agreed to be on it.
  • Clips must not be edited to mislead, or used to mock, harass or expose anyone.

5. Money, gifts and honesty

  • Do not scam or deceive anyone, including promising something in return for a gift that you don't deliver.
  • Do not pressure, beg or guilt-trip anyone into gifting or paying.
  • Do not ask people to pay you outside use.live for something you offer on it, or share bank or wallet details in houses to collect money.
  • No betting, gambling, lotteries, raffles, paid giveaways or games of chance with money or gifts.
  • No investment offers, trading signals, crypto promotions, "money doubling", pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or loan offers.
  • No fake activity: gifting between your own accounts, paying others to gift or join, fake follows, or buying and selling accounts or status.
  • No fake earnings: do not present a staged house, made-up gifts or earnings, or a pretend audience as real, here or anywhere else. Anything you post from the clip studio must say it is a demo, and may use other people's names or photos only with their consent.

6. Who you are

  • Do not pretend to be someone else, use.live staff, or a brand or organisation you do not represent.
  • Do not claim a qualification, licence or job you do not have. If you host as a doctor, nurse, lawyer or other licensed professional, you must hold that licence.
  • Do not give personal medical, legal or financial advice in a house. Share general information and tell people to see a professional.

7. Illegal and harmful activity

  • Do not sell, promote or ask for drugs, weapons, counterfeit or stolen goods, fake documents, or stolen accounts or data.
  • Do not share content that infringes copyright, such as music, films or courses you do not have the rights to.
  • Do not spam, use bots or scripts, scrape the Platform, spread malware, or interfere with use.live or other people's use of it.
  • Do not break any law that applies to you.

8. What we do when rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may:

  • send a warning, which you will see in the app;
  • hide a chat line or gift message, remove your photo, or change your name (which changes your house's name);
  • remove you from a house, or end your house;
  • turn off your video;
  • stop you hosting, hosting in public, earning or appearing on the boards, and remove your status;
  • hold money tied to the breach, as our Terms explain;
  • suspend your account and sign you out everywhere;
  • close your account and refuse new ones.

We can skip straight to the most serious action for serious harm, especially anything involving a young person. We may watch public houses and use automated tools, but we cannot see everything live, so your reports matter.

9. Reporting and appeals

  • Use the report button on someone's house page, or email [email protected] with the person's username, the house code or link, the time, and what happened. Screenshots help. We do not tell anyone who reported them.
  • Do not make false reports to get someone in trouble. That is a breach of these rules.
  • For anything involving a young person's safety, put "Child safety" in the subject line and we will deal with it first.
  • If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police first.
  • If you think we got a decision about you wrong, email [email protected] within 30 days and tell us why. We will review it and tell you what we decided.
